Though the Florida Keys are best known for their sunsets, I had a feeling that the sunrise would be equally breathtaking. So I asked a few locals and came to know that White Street Pier would be the best place for a sunrise.
I drove down an hour before daybreak. The pier was well-lit and the eastern sky was just starting to show some signs of color. The light post that greeted me as I walked onto the pier was off-center, breaking the pattern set by the other light posts—as if it took a step forward to witness the sunset.
