US Route 1 is the highway that connect the Florida Keys and is pretty much its lifeline. As we drove down the highway, we saw the Atlantic Ocean to our left and the Gulf of Mexico to our right—the highway being the only thing separating the ocean from the gulf. We got a great view of the highway from the Bahia Honda State Park. The photo below shows the highway on the right and the Old Bahia Honda Bridge on the left.
How was the drive on the US Route 1? I do have a photo that somewhat captures the charm. Though it’s not of the best image quality (shot with the iPhone 5 and through the windshield of our car) it gives a fairly good idea of its “awesomeness.”
The charming view soothes the eyes and fills your heart with joy. You get the real energy to resume your work after such a charming holiday.
