Altare della Patria, known as “Altar of the Fatherland” in English, is a monument located in Rome. It’s built in the honor of Victor Emmanuel, the first king of a unified Italy. In 1885, Giuseppe Sacconi designed the magnificently white structure made of marble.
It was quite impressive from whatever angle I looked at it. However, the view from Piazza Venezia (as seen above), with the colorful buildings flanking it, is my favorite.
