“Be still, be joyous; celebrate creation, preservation and destruction; for these are the seasons of your life: Of your knowing and being.” — Frederick Lenz

The cyclical rhythm of the Universe and life itself finds its essence in the number three. Creation, preservation, and destruction—these eternal states form the heartbeat of existence, a ceaseless dance where nothing remains permanent. This impermanence compels us to seek meaning: Is life a tapestry woven by randomness, or does it conceal a greater purpose? Perhaps the answer lies not in certainty but in the act of seeking itself.

To ponder such questions, one need only gaze upon Trishul—the three majestic Himalayan peaks of western Kumaon. Like Lord Shiva’s divine trident, these peaks stand as symbols of cosmic balance: creation, preservation, and destruction intertwined. Shiva, the Svayambhu—the self-born, self-manifested—reminds us that the ultimate truth may not be found in words or logic but in transcendence. The question itself might be encoded within the seeker’s journey, revealing its answer only when one merges with the infinite.

I offer you three fleeting moments: glimpses of Trishul captured through my lens during a recent sojourn to Uttarakhand. In their silent grandeur, perhaps you will find not answers but better questions—questions that lead you closer to the essence of your being. Or perhaps you will simply lose yourself in their timeless beauty and forget all else. Either way, the peaks invite you to pause, reflect, and surrender to the mystery.
