Inspired by a tiny former French enclave on the west coast called Mahé, a beautiful gem was created on the Coromandel Coast in 2012—right on the heart of Pondicherry’s French Quarter! This gem of a hotel is known as Palais de Mahe. It’s characteristic ochre walls, colonnades, and rafters instantly transport you to a bygone era of French power on the Coromandel. It’s slow-paced old world charm can’t be explained or easily understood in a fast-paced modern world … but can only be lived in.

Are you game?
