Kerala never ceases to amaze me. In a blink of an eye, ordinary landscapes lined with coconut trees, suddenly transforms into glimpses of heaven. One such view, in the district of Wayanad, is that of Banasura Lake and the Banasura Hills.
The lake and the hills are named after the Asura king Banasura, the son of King Mahabali, who as per legend undertook a severe penance on the top of these hills. Banasura is believed to visit Kerala each year during the Onam festival. True or not, penance or not, Onam or not … I surely feel I can meditate here for hours.
The view from the infinity pool of Sharoy Resort is equally breathtaking.
