Awareness

When your mind, so long whirled in conflicting thought, achieves poise, and steadies itself in itself, you will have realized yoga.

— The Bhagavad Gita

Krishna was born in the darkness of the night in the locked confines of a jail. However, at the moment of his birth all the guards fell asleep, the chains were broken, and barred doors gently opened.

When Krishna (awareness) takes birth in our hearts, all darkness (negativity) fades, all chains (I, me, myself) are broken, and all prison doors (caste, religion, anger, greed, jealousy, etc.) are opened.

I took this photo in transit a week before Janmashtami, while contemplating on Krishna, from the confines of an airplane.
