I’m perennially fascinated by the inherent beauty of churches. When I’m inside a church it really doesn’t matter where I am. The feeling of calmness … the feeling of peace … is the same.
Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe is such a beauty. It’s in stark contrast to the surrounding adobe structures and once you are inside you’ll completely forget that you are in Santa Fe. I know you have no idea of what I’m talking about, especially if you have never been to Santa Fe. No worries … hang around for a few days and I’ll tell you all about Santa Fe.
It looked equally beautiful on our way out.
However, the best light to photograph the Cathedral from the outside was earlier during the day. And as you know, it’s all about the light.
