I’m not the kind of person who likes to go out and party on New Year’s eve. However, this year I did go out with my family to Fayetteville downtown in Arkansas and had a great time. There were music performances, dance shows, comedy shows, hog drop, and fireworks. Yes, hog drop, you read it right! It’s Arkansas, what did you expect? The hog is a 10 feet long and 6 feet tall fiberglass structure (not a live hog; they don’t go that far), which was lowered from 100 feet by a tall snorkel truck with a really tall ladder by the Fayetteville Fire Department followed by fireworks welcoming the New Year. There was also a music performance by Randall Shreve & the Sideshow, which I thought was the best show for the night.

It’s been a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed the show at downtown. Reminds me of our visit to Downtown, when we were with you. This year, we preferred to stay indoors on the New Year eve.
