I’ve been in some deep dark places
where mind is on fire and heart races.
there and then I rose like a phoenix
broke the shackles and decades of jinx.
I float now … between light and dark
no need to wear anyone’s mark.
I walk on fire and dream of stars
I walk on Earth and dream of Mars.
at the confluence where life meets art
I wanna open my mind and heart.
the only desire I carry in my heart
is that I find myself and never part.
