A saint once said “Do your work with one hand and hold onto God with the other. When you finish your work, you must hold God with both hands.”
I try … but I often fail. There are too many things going on between the red and white … blood and bones. Droplets of ego, desire, and ambition trickles down and blurs the reflection of divinity. The mind fights and questions … how can we be alive without ambition, passion, and emotion?
I don’t know what is right or wrong anymore. Neither do I intend to find out. However, I believe if I can go through life with love, understanding, and compassion, at the end of it all—when the red and white has been reduced to hues of grey—I will end up holding god on both hands.
