A few months back, I found myself in Mumbai on a family visit. Since photography was the last thing on my mind, I wasn’t carrying my tripod, or my favorite camera, or my best lenses. Thankfully, I had my tiny yet awesome Sony a7R with the Zeiss FE 35mm f/2.8 lens on me and when the opportunity of a glittering nighttime photo presented itself, I had to improvise. I placed the camera on the wall of Castella de Aguada (Bandra Fort), set a 15 sec exposure, and fired it with a 2 sec delay self-timer.
I think the result was a beauty and pretty much the highlight of the evening for me.
It’s interesting to note that at the time of writing, the Bandra–Worli Sea Link, at 18,400 feet, is the longest bridge in India.
