I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets … to see the light in a way it’s meant to be seen. What I’ve realized from it, is that no matter where you are in the world, the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets are a mere combination of a few factors—the type of cloud formations, the presence of water body, and the quality of air. Nature goes through the same process each day and serves up sunrises and sunsets every damn day. The factors only determine how breathtaking it’ll look.
Our inner light is as magnificent as the sunrises and sunsets. However, for our inner light to shine through and light up the world we have to do the work every damn day. We have to go through the process. We have to go through the pain.
The inner light that shines through is the fruit of our actions. When we focus on the action of nurturing a tree it’ll bear fruit. When we focus on the fruit and neglect the tree we create obstacles for the light to shine through.
If this photo looks breathtaking to you … there’s work behind it. If the writing touches your heart … there’s work behind it. If you see a person with a smile on his/her face every god damn day that you meet … there’s work behind it. If you see that perfect yoga pose … there’s work behind it.
Do the work … go through the pain … and let the inner light shine through.
