After taking a shot at Saptarshi during Brahma muhurta and a bit of hiking during the day, I was ready to take a shot at the Milky Way. Unfortunately, there was significant cloud cover.
As I waited patiently an interesting thought crept up. It’s a paradox for astrophotographers that we’re trying to capture the Milky Way while ourselves being a part of it. It’s almost similar to the paradox faced by neuroscientists where the brain trying to understand itself uses the same mental resources provided by the brain. They hope the brain is simple enough so they can understand it but it needs to be complex enough for them to be able to understand it.
As my mind was trying to comprehend my own thought an hour had passed. And then magic happened … when a bit of the sky opened up revealing the shinning stars.
