The meat pie is considered iconic in Australia. And when it comes to Sydney there is nothing more iconic than Harry’s Cafe de Wheels. It’s “Tiger” Pie (named after the cafe’s founder Harry “Tiger” Edwards) has been devoured by celebrities from all over the world including Frank Sinatra, Robert Mitchum, Marlene Dietrich, Colonel Sanders, Richard Branson, Pamela Anderson, et al. Even the cast from the movie American Pie visited them in 2012 and from the photos it seems they really enjoyed the Australian Pie.
So one evening, I ventured there with couple of my friends, and had a mouthful of “Tiger.” And, boy oh boy, that was most likely the best pie I had in my life.
