“and what if I said that it’s enough,
to light up our souls,
to gain inner peace,
to become the brightest version of ourselves?”
And so I chose to spend this Kali Puja / Diwali with family, in quietude, and watching the lights from afar. And I prayed to Kali that she destroys all evil in me and leads me from darkness to light.
|| asato mā sad gamaya
tamaso mā jyotir gamaya
mṛtyor mā amṛtam gamaya ||
lead me from the asat (delusion) to the sat (truth).
lead me from darkness to light.
lead me from death to immortality.
