Usually when I photograph women I prefer high-key lighting—the kind of light that floods the subject with light and eliminates all kinds of shadows. High-key lighting generally creates a happy mood and goes really well with smiling faces. However, life is a mixed bag with a mix of various different emotions. So I decided to mix it up a bit for Face of the Month and use low-key lighting with this sweet lady.
